About the CPU

The Ryzen 9 9950X is AMD's 2024 desktop processor on the Zen 5 architecture (Granite Ridge), built on TSMC 4 nm. It has 16 cores and 32 threads, a 4.3 GHz base clock, and one core boosts up to 5.7 GHz.

Cache: 16 MB of L2 and 64 MB of L3. AVX2 and AVX-512 are supported — some codecs, cryptography and numeric libraries can use them.

High single-core speed is what a VPS gets most from it: single-threaded work (a game tick, the Python or PHP interpreter, compiling one file) runs at the speed of a core, not at the number of cores.

Keep in mind

  • A vCPU is a virtual core on a shared physical server, not a whole core. Benchmarks of the bare chip will be higher than on a VPS.
  • “Up to 5.7 GHz” is the single-core peak by AMD's definition; under a long all-core load the clock is lower.

Where it runs

The plan price depends on the location, not on the CPU. The status comes from the bot and updates with the site.

Ryzen 9 9950X plans

Monthly prices. Rentals for 1 or 7 days and custom configurations are ordered in the bot.

How to order exactly the Ryzen 9 9950X

  1. Open the bot with the button below — it shows the plan selection.
  2. Choose the location: Germany and Poland.
  3. Tap “CPU type” and pick Ryzen 9950x.
  4. Choose the plan, period and OS and pay — your login details arrive in the bot.

If you skip the choice, the bot picks a CPU of the location itself. A custom configuration is in the bot's “Create config” section, with the CPU choice there too.

What the Ryzen 9 9950X is good for

  • Game servers

The main loop of Minecraft and many other servers runs in one thread, so the clock of one core matters. Details: Game servers

  • Bots and APIs

Telegram bots, scrapers and Python, Node.js or Go backends respond faster on a fast core. Details: Bot hosting

  • Builds and CI

GitLab and GitHub Actions runners: compiling and testing with every thread at Zen 5 clocks. Details: Git & CI/CD

  • VPN

The CPU has hardware AES instructions: OpenVPN and Xray TLS protocols with AES-GCM put less load on a vCPU. Details: VPN server

Per-core comparison

PassMark Single Thread Rating: the average of user runs on the bare chip, data as of October 25, 2026. It is not a run on our VPS — a VPS scores lower, a vCPU is only part of a shared processor.

Ryzen 9 9950X VPS: questions

How much does a Ryzen 9 9950X VPS cost?
From $2.79 a month in Germany and Poland. The plan price depends on the location, not on the CPU: Netherlands — from $2.89 (sold out); Germany — from $3.14; Poland — from $2.79; Estonia — from $3.10 (sold out). Rent for 1 day, 7 days or a month.
How do I order a server on exactly the Ryzen 9 9950X?
In the @ExpressHost_bot Telegram bot: open plan selection, choose the location, tap “CPU type” and pick Ryzen 9950x, then the plan and the OS. If you skip the CPU choice, the bot picks a CPU of the location itself.
How many Ryzen 9 9950X cores do I get?
As many vCPU as your plan has: from 1 to 20. A vCPU is a virtual core on a shared physical server with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X; the chip itself has 16 cores and 32 threads.
What clock speed does the Ryzen 9 9950X have?
Per AMD's specification: 4.3 GHz base, up to 5.7 GHz on one core. The peak is reached under a short single-threaded load.
Does a 9950X VPS have AVX-512?
AMD lists AVX-512 among the supported extensions of the Ryzen 9 9950X. Check the flags on your server with grep -o 'avx512[a-z]*' /proc/cpuinfo | sort -u.
